Updating your iOS device (iPhone, iPad and iPod) ensures that you have access to latest features and enhanced user interface. With every update apple announces Bug fixes and Performance Improvements. Updating process is quite simple and straightforward. There are two methods to update software (a) Using device and (b) Using iOS. If you can’t update software then just follow these steps to troubleshoot software issue on iOS device
(a) Using Device
Step 1: Make sure your device is in working mode and connected with internet. Also, if your device is up to date as per iOS, you cannot update it further.
Step 2: Press ‘Settings’ icon on your device, tap on ‘General’ and then selecting ‘Software Update’. Try soft reset if still you are getting error.
(b) Using iOS
Step 1: Connect your iPad to computer. Make sure you have latest version of iTunes installed in the machine. Navigate to ‘iTunes’ and open it.
Step 2: Click on ‘Download and update’ option to update the software. Now, restart your iPad.
